Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join our team, focusing on a diverse range of projects including Data Centers, Commercial Real Estate, and High-Tech Manufacturing. This role involves collaborating with key clients and managing projects of varying complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present comprehensive cost estimates and planning documents.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports.
  • Oversee all procurement processes, including pre-qualification, bid analysis, and contract documentation.
  • Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes, escalating significant changes as necessary.
  • Ensure timely and accurate cost checks and valuations on larger projects.
  • Prepare and present monthly post-contract cost reports to clients.
  • Contribute to value engineering initiatives and negotiate final accounts.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and consultants throughout all project phases.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the cost management team as required.
  • Identify opportunities for business development with existing clients and report these to management.
  • Propose enhancements to cost management procedures and tools.
Qualifications:
  • Strong technical background in cost management, including pre-contract, post-contract, and final account processes.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Experience with various procurement methods and contract types.
  • Knowledge of value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing principles.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience in cost management.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing large-scale cost estimates.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale projects at a program level.
  • Experience in the Industrial or Manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
