Role Overview

At Principal Financial Group, we are seeking a highly proficient and driven Risk Management Consultant to enhance our Third-Party Risk initiative. This position is pivotal in executing our risk management strategies and ensuring their effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee risk management programs, processes, and enhancements to improve adherence to risk protocols.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk analyses, assessments, and reporting to uncover trends and insights related to risk initiatives.
  • Engage and collaborate with key business and risk stakeholders, leading presentations and training sessions for business personnel.
  • Foster close collaboration with application administrators and development teams, advocating for customer needs.
  • Utilize technical product knowledge to articulate a product differentiation strategy from a technical standpoint.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional COUPA team to plan product releases and monitor progress on updates and bug resolutions.
  • Develop the product vision and roadmap to achieve strategic objectives.
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in risk management, ideally within an enterprise or third-party risk framework.
  • Strong familiarity with COUPA is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective communication capabilities.
  • Understanding of internal business operations and corporate functions is advantageous.
Compensation Information:

The salary range reflects targeted base salaries, with non-sales roles eligible for a bonus program. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level at the time of offer.
Time Off Benefits:

We offer Flexible Time Off (FTO) for salaried employees, allowing for paid time away from work for vacation, personal matters, or short-term illness without a set number of days.
