About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our biostimulant business in the US. We are seeking an experienced Sales Lead with a proven record of driving sales and revenue growth, particularly in the biostimulant or fertilizer sectors. You will lead efforts to expand our market presence, build strong relationships with distributors, and ensure customer satisfaction for our seaweed-based products.
A strong understanding of biostimulant/fertilizer markets, production, and agriculture is essential, as you'll play a key role in translating market insights into actionable growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new prospects and engage with growers to increase sales of agricultural inputs, meeting and exceeding targets.
- Manage sales to achieve profit margins and ensure customer satisfaction through on-time delivery and high product quality.
- Create and implement strategies to drive sales of proprietary products.
- Consult with growers on agricultural challenges and recommend solutions, addressing any concerns about product performance.
- Establish strong relationships with key distributors in California.
- Stay self-motivated, maintain records for assigned accounts, and ensure Ocean Rainforest becomes the preferred supplier.
- Handle additional responsibilities related to Ocean Rainforest's operations in California.
- Bachelor's degree in an agronomy-related field.
- Proven success in inside/outside sales, focusing on the agricultural sector.
- Expertise in driving sales within the biostimulant or fertilizer sectors.
- Strong understanding of agricultural sales and tech-to-market strategies.
- Ability to conduct professional sales calls with confidence and empathy.
- Knowledge of commodity trading, fertilizer markets, production, and agriculture.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Master's degree in an agronomy-related field.
- CPA.g certification.
- Familiarity with seaweed and seaweed-based products in agriculture.
- Advanced skills in data analysis and market research.
- A strong network within the agricultural industry, especially in Southern California.
- Training or certification in sales techniques or agricultural technology.
- Fluency in Spanish.
$75,000 to $90,000 depending on experience.
