Our client, a prominent player in the Aerospace sector, is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement Specialist to enhance their operational capabilities.

**This position is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits**

As the Purchasing/Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for executing procurement strategies, adhering to industry standards, and implementing operational plans. This includes managing requests for proposals (RFPs), preparing for negotiations, and conducting cost analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate purchase orders, authorize payments, and negotiate pricing to facilitate a seamless procurement process under general supervision.
  • Develop requests for proposals (RFP) and bid documentation to secure new business opportunities.
  • Oversee contract execution to guarantee adherence to contractual commitments.
  • Engage with suppliers to coordinate or expedite deliveries, addressing issues such as shortages and delays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required along with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain/Procurement/Purchasing.
  • Experience with SAP or similar procurement software.
  • Proficiency in Excel: including pivot tables, search functions, VLOOKUP, sorting, and filtering.
  • Demonstrated experience in Purchasing and Procurement.
