The role of the Senior Procurement Specialist encompasses the strategic acquisition of goods and services at optimal costs, ensuring high-quality standards, and overseeing the procurement process through effective purchase order management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for material-related issues affecting procurement
  • Guide and mentor junior procurement staff
  • Lead specialized projects as required
  • Contribute to the advancement of the procurement department
  • Manage critical supplier partnerships
  • Oversee supplier accounts and address supply chain challenges
  • Review and process purchase orders efficiently
Supplier Management Duties:
  • Establish robust communication channels with suppliers
  • Proactively ensure suppliers meet delivery timelines
  • Identify and resolve performance-related issues
  • Engage in program shortage management
  • Evaluate non-conformance reports and collaborate with suppliers

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Professional Experience: A minimum of 6 years in supply chain management, purchasing, or sourcing

Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with MRP systems
Office Software Proficiency:
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Essential Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to analyze and convey requirements effectively
  • Strong negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Customer service-focused
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or program management
  • Experience in manufacturing or aerospace sectors
  • Capability to interpret engineering drawings
