**This position is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits**

As the Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for executing procurement strategies, adhering to industry standards, and implementing operational frameworks. Your role will involve managing requests for proposals (RFPs), preparing for negotiations, and conducting cost assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate purchase orders, authorize payments, and negotiate pricing to facilitate a seamless procurement process under general supervision.
  • Develop requests for proposals (RFP) and bid documentation to engage with potential new accounts.
  • Oversee contract execution to guarantee adherence to contractual commitments.
  • Engage with suppliers to coordinate or expedite deliveries, addressing issues such as shortages and delays.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED Required with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Purchasing.
  • Experience with SAP or comparable software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel: including Pivot tables, search functions, VLOOKUP, sorting, and filtering.
  • Prior experience in Purchasing and Procurement is essential.
