Role Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Educator to lead Mobile Museums of Tolerance (MMOT) programs focused on critical issues such as combating hate, antisemitism, civil rights, and digital media literacy. The selected candidate will conduct workshops on the MMOT and facilitate educational sessions in schools and community settings, enhancing the learning experience and promoting our organization's mission.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is deeply committed to human rights advocacy, community engagement, and Holocaust education. You should possess strong teaching and facilitation skills, particularly with youth, and demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive topics with care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Traveling with the Mobile Museum of Tolerance to various educational institutions and community venues.
  • Hosting open houses at libraries and engaging with visitors of diverse backgrounds.
  • Collaborating with the Field Education team to develop lesson plans and educational resources.
  • Reporting any operational issues related to the MMOT to the appropriate management.

Qualifications:

  • Residence in New York.
  • 3-5 years of teaching experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to identify and act on opportunities independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to manage unexpected challenges effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
