Role Overview:
The Customer Sales Lead for Walmart Perimeter & eCommerce plays a pivotal role in the formulation and execution of collaborative business strategies aimed at enhancing volume, profitability, and market share across the entire Campbell's Snacks portfolio. This position entails the proactive management and oversight of Campbell's comprehensive portfolio, along with the creation, assessment, and refinement of business plans to achieve all sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage the Campbell's Sales Planning & Customer Investment system to devise optimal customer strategies that drive the Campbell's portfolio.
  • Formulate and execute promotional strategies and tactical initiatives with customers to enhance ROI and expand Campbell's portfolio.
  • Continuously monitor and refine the customer's overarching business plan, including budget management, expenditure tracking, and volume oversight to meet sales objectives.
  • Utilize shopper and category management techniques to align consumer trends with business opportunities, leveraging Shopper Insights and Category Management resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with customer marketing resources to design and implement joint marketing initiatives that align with brand and customer strategies.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess promotional performance, consumption patterns, profitability, and spending outcomes, using insights to optimize future promotional efforts.
  • Facilitate category business reviews to analyze business health, consumer trends, key drivers, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Implement Campbell's brand strategies by engaging closely with key decision-makers within the customer's organization.
  • Promote new product introductions and collaborate with customer personnel to secure optimal distribution.
  • Identify and pursue profitable opportunities for incremental volume growth.
  • Share insights on current trends, performance metrics, and industry initiatives.
Job Complexity:
  • Evaluate customer competitive positioning and strategies to align with Campbell's strategic objectives, informing investment strategies that support revenue, profit, and market share growth.
  • Establish productive relationships with key decision-makers across various levels within the customer's organization.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration within the customer team and with headquarters personnel, depending on the customer's size and strategic significance.
  • Possess a strong understanding of e-commerce dynamics to identify trends within the online channel across all customer segments.
  • Manage performance across all categories within the Campbell portfolio in the e-commerce space.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in total P&L management.
  • Exhibit strong customer, channel, and partner prospecting capabilities.
  • Apply analytical skills to determine optimal activation strategies through test-and-learn methodologies.
  • Assess customer competitive positioning and strategies to inform investment strategies that best support growth and profitability.
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Walmart and/or other eCommerce and Omni-channel retailers.
  • Familiarity with Syndicated Data (IRI or AC Nielsen, retailer loyalty card, retailer POS) is advantageous.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and adept at utilizing internal systems for data analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a strong drive for results.
  • Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team environment, with excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
  • Skilled in balancing and prioritizing requests from multiple stakeholders.
  • Quick learner, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Adaptable and flexible with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficient in planning, scheduling, and prioritizing projects to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain operations is preferred.
  • Financial acumen and trade management experience are beneficial.
  • Category and brand knowledge is advantageous.
Minimum Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant sales experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $85,900 and $140,800. Individual base pay is influenced by work location and various factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total compensation may include additional forms of remuneration. We offer competitive health, dental, 401k, and wellness benefits starting on the first day of employment.
