Role Overview:
The Customer Sales Lead for Walmart Perimeter & eCommerce plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing joint business strategies that enhance volume, profitability, and market share across the Campbell's Snacks portfolio. This position involves proactive management and oversight of the entire Campbell's portfolio, alongside the creation, assessment, and refinement of business plans to achieve sales targets. The role also entails establishing sales priorities, strategies, and objectives to fulfill Campbell's annual operating plan (AOP) with Walmart.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage the Campbell's Sales Planning & Customer Investment system to formulate effective customer strategies that enhance the Campbell's portfolio.
- Design and execute promotional strategies and tactical initiatives with customers to optimize return on investment (ROI) for Campbell's brands.
- Continuously monitor and refine the customer's comprehensive business plan, including budget management and volume tracking, to meet all sales goals.
- Utilize shopper and category management techniques to connect consumer trends with actionable opportunities, employing Shopper Insights and Category Management resources effectively.
- Collaborate with customer marketing teams to develop and implement joint marketing initiatives that align with brand and customer objectives.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to analyze promotional effectiveness, consumption patterns, profitability, and spending outcomes, using insights to enhance future promotional efforts.
- Facilitate category business reviews to assess market conditions, consumer trends, and potential growth opportunities.
- Implement Campbell's brand strategies by engaging with key decision-makers within the customer's organization.
- Promote new product introductions and work with customer personnel to secure optimal distribution.
- Identify and capitalize on profitable opportunities to increase incremental volume.
- Stay informed about current trends, results, and industry initiatives to drive business success.
- Evaluate customer competitive positioning and strategies to align with Campbell's strategic objectives, determining the most effective customer investment strategies.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with key decision-makers at various organizational levels.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration within the customer team and with Campbell's headquarters personnel, adapting to the size and complexity of the customer relationship.
- Possess a strong understanding of e-commerce to identify online business trends across customer segments.
- Manage performance across all categories within the Campbell portfolio in the e-commerce space.
- Demonstrate expertise in total P&L management.
- Exhibit strong prospecting abilities with customers, channels, and partners.
- Utilize analytical skills to determine optimal activation strategies through testing and learning.
- Experience with Walmart and/or other eCommerce and Omni-channel retailers.
- Familiarity with Syndicated Data (IRI or AC Nielsen, retailer loyalty card, retailer POS) is advantageous.
- Proficient in computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and internal systems for data analysis.
- Exhibit strong leadership capabilities, high energy, and a consistent track record of delivering results.
- Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team environment, showcasing strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
- Possess excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capable of delivering persuasive presentations and effectively communicating ideas.
- Demonstrate the ability to balance and prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders.

- Knowledge of Supply Chain operations is preferred.
- Financial acumen and trade management experience are advantageous.
- Familiarity with category and brand knowledge is beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5-7+ years of relevant sales experience.
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $85,900 and $140,800. Individual base pay is determined by work location and factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total compensation may include additional forms of remuneration. We offer competitive health, dental, 401k, and wellness benefits starting on the first day of employment.
