Position Overview

As a Regional Sales Representative, you will oversee the upkeep and growth of your designated customer base within a specific region for veterinary supplies, products, and services. Your role includes meeting annual sales, revenue, and profit objectives within your assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly engage with veterinary practices, laboratories, and institutions within a defined sales region to meet sales targets and other established objectives.
  • Maintain and further develop existing accounts while cultivating new ones to enhance market presence.
  • Actively seek, pursue, and finalize sales of equipment and technology within the assigned territory.
  • Responsible for sustaining and expanding the existing consumables base.
  • Generate leads for technology offerings, exclusive products, and capital equipment.
  • Prepare presentations and pricing proposals for clients.
  • Achieve forecasted sales goals.
  • Promote Patterson Vet marketing initiatives and demonstrate new products.
  • Participate in and support meetings and activities as requested by management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned related to Veterinary Pharmaceutical Sales.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must possess ONE or more of the following:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in business-to-business sales or
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the HEALTH/VETERINARY sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous direct, retail, or telephone sales experience.
  • Knowledge of the veterinary industry or relevant experience.
  • Proficient PC skills, including familiarity with spreadsheets and word processing software.
  • Ability to analyze financial data.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
