POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst will spearhead financial planning and analytical initiatives to facilitate informed decision-making and support Outsell's strategic objectives. This role will report directly to the Director of FP&A.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the processes related to the monthly reporting of financial outcomes, key performance indicators, and ad hoc forecasting.
  • Research, establish, monitor, and report on essential financial and operational metrics.
  • Calculate variable compensation and relay results to leadership in the Go-To-Market teams.
  • Drive enhancements in processes and simplify reporting mechanisms.
  • Assist in the formulation of annual budgets and perform ad hoc forecasting as required.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to plan and analyze business performance (e.g., pricing strategies, variable compensation, project ROI, headcount planning).
  • Develop reporting tools and financial models that offer insights into historical performance and future projections.
  • Serve as a primary finance liaison to the business, effectively communicating with non-financial leaders.
  • Analyze data to generate actionable insights.
  • Exemplify Outsell's core values in all interactions, both internally and externally.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses, special projects, and additional responsibilities as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • A combination of education and experience that equips the candidate to fulfill the key responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA degree.
  • Previous experience in a SaaS environment.

Technical and Functional Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on quantitative financial data.
  • Ability to connect financial outcomes to operational performance drivers and propose necessary changes.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Effective presentation skills, particularly regarding financial results and models.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role may require up to 10% travel by car and plane. It is a hybrid position based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
