We are on the lookout for a proactive and meticulous Lead Financial Analyst to join our finance team and aid in the ongoing success and expansion of our companies.

General Purpose of Job:

As the Lead Financial Analyst, you will be instrumental in overseeing the financial functions of Impact and Infinity Direct. This role will collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer and will involve a balanced schedule between both companies' offices and remote work.

This position calls for a forward-thinking individual with a robust grasp of financial concepts, experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and proficiency in cost accounting methodologies. The successful candidate will be tasked with assisting in monthly financial reporting, managing cash flow associated with operational expenses, and ensuring adherence to tax regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Monthly Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements.
    • Collaborate with the CFO to ensure precise and timely month-end closures.
    • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to facilitate strategic decision-making.
    • Support invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
  2. ERP and Accounting Systems:
    • Engage with the CFO to comprehend, utilize, and enhance our accounting system controls and applications.
    • Oversee and maintain existing accounting systems; identifying, troubleshooting, and defining issues as they arise.
  3. Sales and Use Tax Compliance:
    • Assist with research and compliance regarding all sales tax regulations and requirements.
    • Coordinate with external tax advisors to remain updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
    • Supervise the preparation and submission of sales tax returns accurately and promptly.
  4. Financial Analysis and Other Duties:
    • Collaborate closely with production and operations teams to ensure accurate cost allocation to individual projects.
    • Analyze job cost data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow related to operational expenses.
  • Provide financial analysis on special projects and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Performance Measurement: Performance feedback will occur both verbally and in writing on a day-to-day basis as needed, with recognition in monthly employee acknowledgment meetings and formal training on changes in standard operating procedures as required, along with an annual review by the CFO.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • CPA designation is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in a comparable financial role, preferably within the printing or direct mail sector.
  • Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems.
  • Understanding of cost accounting principles and job costing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Language Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees of the organization. Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as procedure manuals and company policies. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to complete a variety of different assignments within a given timeframe. Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute detailed written or oral instructions.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and understand measurements and weights, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret graphical data.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The expectation is that employees will work in an office environment with exposure to the production floor. Machinery with moving parts and forklifts are present on the production floor. The noise level varies from moderate (in the office) to loud (in production).
