The Role

This role is based in our Plymouth, MN facility, where you will support our Electrophysiology (EP) medical device division. Abbott's EP business is at the forefront of heart disease treatment, utilizing groundbreaking medical technologies to improve patient outcomes.

We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst. Key responsibilities include:

  • Consolidating and reporting financial results on a monthly basis, as well as during budget cycles and for ad-hoc analyses requested by leadership.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of financial activities and variances to effectively address inquiries from management.
  • Preparing financial presentation materials for executive meetings.
  • Participating in various projects or tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Supporting internal and external audits by preparing and providing necessary reports and analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement effective and efficient business practices to execute processes, continuously assessing their effectiveness.

- Exercise sound judgment in planning, organizing, and executing work; monitor performance and report status within your area of responsibility.

- Ensure the quality of services meets both internal and external customer expectations while staying updated on industry developments.

- Represent the organization and resolve issues while determining priorities related to the above responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of six years of financial analyst experience with increasing levels of responsibility, particularly in a manufacturing context.
  • Thorough understanding of balance sheet transactions and their implications for the income statement.
  • Proven track record of effectively implementing new processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity for accuracy and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in building and maintaining Excel-based financial models.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system software and Hyperion Planning/Essbase systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

- An advanced credential such as an MBA, CPA, CMA, or CPIM designation is preferred.
