Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project management activities, initiating with the development of the initial design concept and creating a detailed project plan, including staffing requirements and project scheduling.
  • Facilitate the execution of project designs, managing resources while adhering to budgetary and scheduling constraints, leading to the oversight of bid and construction phase engineering services.
  • Act as a project engineer, coordinating the efforts of engineers, designers, and sub-consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, participating in client meetings as required.
  • Engage in marketing efforts, contract development, and design implementation.
  • Assist in overseeing the financial components of assigned engineering projects, ensuring that project tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously.
  • Utilize computer-aided engineering and design software to produce engineering and design documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance and quality control protocols within the project team.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and coordinate necessary documentation for relocations, acquisitions, and condemnations with relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in closing meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the field or a related discipline.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Proficient understanding of public works project life cycles, from conception through construction.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, or eligibility for reciprocity within six months of employment.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
