Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN). As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in managing projects from development to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Assist with managing projects, starting with the development of the initial project design concept, development of a project plan, and preparation of project schedules.
  • Design Execution: Assist with the execution of project design, managing resources within the constraints of project budget and schedule, and culminating with management of bid and construction phase engineering service support.
  • Client Relations: Establish and maintain client relationships, attend client meetings, and be involved with marketing, contractual development, and design implementation.
  • Financial Management: Assist with managing the financial aspects of assigned engineering projects, coordinating and adjusting the work effort within the project team to ensure project work is completed on schedule and within allocated budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for project team quality system tasks as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.
  • Site Monitoring: Visit construction sites to monitor progress and perform other duties as per the contract documents.
  • Documentation: Prepare, submit, and/or coordinate the execution of relocation, acquisition, and/or condemnation papers with client staff, property owners, and title companies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license and licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or be able to gain reciprocity in the State of Texas within 6 months of employment.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of the typical public works project life cycles, from development through construction, and working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
