Senior Staff Engineer

The Senior Staff Engineer (SSE) will deliver Engineering, Operations & Controls support for API Management Ecosystem management tasks related to system software, hardware, performance, IT Service Management (ITSM), and Resiliency Support.

The SSE is expected to independently manage essential communication and coordination with vendors, technicians, clients, while providing updates to management.

This role will also contribute technical insights to management decision-making regarding software, hardware, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Methodology
Collaborate closely with business units, application teams, infrastructure sectors, and vendors to identify, assess, and evaluate solution requirements.
Investigate and recommend strategic opportunities for virtualization, consolidation, and rationalization within the infrastructure or business. Suggest modifications to technical design solutions as necessary.
Align strategic fit solutions across platforms and specific system hardware and software technologies.
Engage in long-term capacity planning and technology investment discussions.

Technical Consulting
Provide client consulting and planning guidance for moderate to complex projects.
Work in conjunction with other functional infrastructure areas/departments on various initiatives to achieve common organizational goals.
Consult with project teams on architectural, design development, and integration opportunities for complex systems.

Planning & Organizing
Translate requirements into standard service solutions, identify opportunities for integration or reuse of technology, and deliver cost-effective solutions for complex projects and initiatives.
Review and manage requirements for moderate to complex solutions, conducting cost-value, feasibility, and risk analyses.

Risk Management
Review, develop, and update architectural standards, guiding principles, and strategies.
Evaluate and approve complex design solutions for business and infrastructure projects or initiatives.

Administration
Keep management updated on the status of activities through accurate and timely reporting.
Actively participate in committees representing the department and/or planning unit.

Position Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related Technology field, or equivalent experience, or 12 years of technology experience.
6 years of experience in identifying technical solutions for complex business challenges, assessing benefits and risks, and providing recommendations.
5 years of experience in technology.
This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Must have indefinite employment authorization.

Work Environment:
Category C - Days in the office will vary week to week from 2-5 days.

Hours:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience.
