Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN). As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in managing projects from development to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Assist in managing projects, starting with the development of the initial project design concept, development of a project plan, and identification of staffing requirements.
  • Design Execution: Assist in the execution of project design, managing resources within the constraints of the project budget and schedule.
  • Client Relations: Establish and maintain client relationships, attending client meetings, and coordinating with clients to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Financial Management: Assist in managing the financial aspects of assigned engineering projects, coordinating and adjusting the work effort within the project team to ensure project work is completed on schedule and within allocated budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for project team quality system tasks as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.
  • Site Monitoring: Visit construction sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Documentation: Prepare, submit, and/or coordinate the execution of relocation, acquisition, and/or condemnation papers with client staff, property owners, and title companies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license and licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or be able to gain reciprocity in the State of Texas within 6 months of employment.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of the typical public works project life cycles, from development through construction, and working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
