About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Project Engineer to join our team at Garver. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering transportation projects that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of transportation projects, including roadways, interchanges, and other infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
  • Two to five years of experience in transportation project engineering, with a focus on roadway design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation design standards and regulations, including AASHTO and TxDOT guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microstation, Geopak, and other roadway design software.
  • Licensed as an Engineer in Training (EIT) in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain within six months.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with 3D design software and techniques.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain reciprocity within three months of hire.
