Position Overview:
Go METRO is in search of a Senior Manager of Employee and Labor Relations to oversee the daily operations of the Employee and Labor Relations Department.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or a similar discipline, along with a proven track record in addressing employee concerns, managing labor relations, facilitating grievance procedures, and conducting thorough investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct and document comprehensive, impartial investigations related to employment issues, including but not limited to employee grievances, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and FMLA.
2. Address and resolve employee-related concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
3. Foster positive relationships between the organization and its employees, as well as recognized labor representatives.
4. Provide coaching and guidance to management on the implementation of the collective bargaining agreement and associated documents.
5. Develop and deliver training programs focused on labor and employee management to enhance organizational effectiveness and mitigate risks.
6. Assist in formulating policies and procedures.
7. Actively participate in departmental and organizational teams, projects, and committees as needed.
8. Aid in the preparation and management of employee and labor-related agreements.
9. Stay informed on the latest employment and labor laws, regulations, trends, and best practices, ensuring necessary updates are made.
10. Maintain meticulous records while exercising confidentiality where appropriate.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or a related field is required.
2. Advanced degree (Master's, JD) in Human Resource Management, Employee Relations, or Labor Relations is preferred.
3. A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in employee and/or labor relations, including addressing employee issues and grievances.
4. At least five (5) years of experience in conducting effective informational and interrogatory interviews.
5. Experience in managing or supervising employees, preferably in a unionized setting.

Skills and Abilities:
1. In-depth knowledge of Employment and Labor Law (Ohio public sector preferred).
2. Proficient in the MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
3. Ability to learn new software and applications quickly.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility across all levels of the organization.
5. Exceptional organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
