Crafco, Inc. has an opening for an Equipment Technical Support Specialist at our equipment plant in Chandler, Arizona.

Look no further Under the direction of the Equipment Engineering Manager, the Equipment Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance to all internal and external customers regarding Crafco heavy machinery equipment and parts. This position will also provide back-up support for the Quality Manager, Run-up Department, Equipment Service Department and Engineering Department .

Specific Duties:
  • Be the primary source of contact for customers and internal Crafco personnel regarding equipment repairs, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, quality, parts identification, and replacement part quotes.
  • Provide back-up support for the Equipment Service and Run-up departments, performing each department's duties as needed.
  • Prepare summary reports of customer contacts, repairs, problems, and operation using Salesforce monthly that will be circulated to Engineering, Production and Management for review and action as needed.
  • Provide assistance over the phone, through email, online helpdesk software and in person as needed. Must have some working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, SAP, phone system and online helpdesk software.
  • Create repair quotes, sales orders and update equipment warranty database using SAP software.
  • Assist Engineering and Production teams in developing appropriate quality and testing procedures. Provide input on new product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with development of repair and standard maintenance procedures and technical guidelines used by customers and Supply Centers.
  • Manage and organize part recall/replacement issues to ensure timely action to support customers.
  • Edit Operator Manuals or other literature as needed by the Equipment Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Holds a related degree or equivalent from a minimum of 2 years in college or trade school is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support and troubleshooting or related position within the industries of industrial machinery, construction equipment, automotive, aerospace or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in machinery and equipment.
  • Must have effective communication and people skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and have good time management skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and multitask effectively, work responsibly with or without direct supervision, with high attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP software, (preferably SAP) is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with typical office computer operations and programs including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet browsers.
