The Systems Support Specialist I (SS1) is responsible for providing basic help desk support for desktop workstations, laptops, and peripherals to both local and remote users. The SS1 will install, fix or repair all Windows platforms, systems, files, and directories. The Systems Support Specialist I will load baseline software, support user accounts and access configurations. The SS1 will travel to remote sites as needed to provide field based support. The SS1 will use strong customer service skills to provide quick and efficient user support to Five Guys users and systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides Remote User Support, traveling to remote sites as necessary to provide project support for new store openings, acquisitions, sales and closures
• Furnishes Level I & II Help Desk Support
• Administers, builds and maintains access control and site security
• Provides end user support for all systems
• Supports Telecommunications clients and users
• Identifies the need for and provides user training
• Handles administrative duties including correspondence and document management
• Codes invoice and submit for payment
• Provides Compliance reporting submission
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
• May be assigned other duties to support other IT team members or those in outside departments as directed by immediate supervisor.
Essential Accountabilities:
The Systems Support Specialist requires relevant work experience with desktop and laptop hardware, printing and scanning hardware and basic networking.

Education/Experience:
• Degree in Computer Science or 2+ years relevant work experience
• Comptia A+ Certification Preferred
• MCTS Certification Preferred
Language Ability:
The System Support Specialist must possess strong interpersonal skills. The successful candidate/employee will be required to use written and/or oral communication to provide end user support. The position requires the ability to write simple and somewhat complex correspondences pertaining to IT technology. The ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondences, and memos is necessary. It also requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business memos.
Math Ability:
Fundamental math skills are necessary. The position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple ongoing requests. Will require prioritization of requests to ensure the most critical issues are met in a timely manner.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge in desktop and laptop hardware, printing and scanning hardware, and basic networking is required. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Outlook and other appropriate software within the organization. Knowledge of common MS Office applications. The ability to proficiently operate Internal and/or proprietary systems software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands:
This position may require long hours sitting and using office equipment, telephone and computers. There may also be moderate lifting of supplies and materials. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required. Lifts 25 lbs on occasion.
Special Requirements/Certification:
• Comptia A+ Certification Preferred
• MCTS Certification Preferred
