Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a Systems Integration Specialist responsible for the planning, integration, and documentation of installations for voice and video systems that support government Command and Control (C2) conference rooms and video-teleconferencing endpoints.

In this role, the Technical Integration Engineer will handle projects ranging from the implementation of individual network devices to the establishment of sophisticated high-definition video conference rooms, ensuring the accuracy of systems drawing packages.

Peraton has been the prime contractor for the network contract since its inception, providing reliable security voice, video, and fax communications for executive-level government leaders. Our secure, high-performance communications network operates over a dedicated IP backbone, delivering real-time interactive applications for complex national and global communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with customers and engineering teams to derive requirements for system engineering designs.
  • Create system-level drawings, cable lists, and wiring diagrams to support various projects.
  • Review a consolidated list of materials to ensure correct specifications.
  • Receive, inspect, inventory, and track materials.
  • Assemble systems, including rack and stack, cable assembly, and wiring.
  • Coordinate with the testing team and quality assurance to certify the system.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and complete field installations.
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel to local and CONUS/OCONUS sites will be required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for driving in the DMV area.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • An active/current TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with five (5) years of relevant experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience; Master's degree with three (3) years of relevant experience; PhD with no experience. Relevant experience may substitute for a completed higher education degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in creating Visio drawing packages.
  • At least two (2) years of experience using 2D AutoCAD drawings.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in building network, audio, and video cables.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in the system integration of video conference room systems.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to local and CONUS/OCONUS sites.
  • Must have a valid driver's license for driving in the DMV area.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to generate documentation that describes operational concepts, interface control, and security measures.
  • Previous experience supporting government and/or Department of Defense customers.
  • Familiarity with the handling of COMSEC devices.
  • Certified Technical Specialist.
