The Military-Civilian Transition Office (MCTO) necessitates comprehensive research, analytical assessments, product development, documentation drafting, recommendations, coordination, synchronization, and analytical support services for Service members as they prepare for their next life phase—whether that involves pursuing further vocational training, higher education, securing employment in public or private sectors, or embarking on entrepreneurial ventures. MCTO creates cohesive, modular, outcome-oriented training, events, and courses designed to enhance and standardize the opportunities, services, and training available to support transitioning Service members, members of the National Guard and Reserve, their families, and communities globally.
This role offers a hybrid work environment. Responsibilities may be carried out at various locations, including customer facilities or remotely.
Security Clearance: Candidates must meet the necessary adjudication guidelines to maintain a critical non-sensitive position.
Travel Requirements: Minimal to moderate travel within the continental United States.
Core Working Hours: Standard hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm EST.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Tier I technical support for the DoDTAP website; oversee and document all user inquiries.
- Create professional presentations, reports, user manuals, and memoranda that outline modifications to the TAP IT Business System, including user interface and functionality updates, while translating technical requirements into accessible language for users.
- Assist with research and troubleshooting inquiries, while analyzing performance trends.
- Guide clients through problem identification, research solutions, and provide corrective action steps.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field related to Information Technology.
- Required: At least 5 years of experience in providing Tier I Technical Support.
- Preferred: Military Veterans residing locally.
- Preferred: Prior experience within the Military to Civilian Transition Office (MCTO).
- Experience in developing professional presentations, reports, user manuals, and memoranda.
- Experience in data analysis and evaluation.
- Proficient in working with IT business systems, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.
