About the Red Tent Fund

The Red Tent Fund (RTF), founded in 2024, is a national nonprofit abortion fund, rooted in the Jewish values and teachings that affirm the right to abortion, which funds abortions across the United States. The RTF provides a dedicated space for abortion supporters and seekers - Jews and non-Jews alike - who affirm and support abortion access. This fall, we will launch a confidential helpline offering financial support to help cover the cost of abortion care. The RTF does not restrict funding based on religion, income eligibility or gestational age. Learn more about our work here.

The Opportunity

The Client Services Coordinator (CSC) will directly serve clients seeking financial support from the RTF. The CSC will work remotely, communicating and coordinating financial support with clients from around the country and the clinics providing their care, and in collaboration with other abortion funds and practical support organizations, as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct initial intakes via phone, text, and/or electronic form with potential clients to assess their financial needs
  • Ensure all client inquiries are responded to within one business day and maintain proactive, ongoing communication with clients throughout their engagement with the RTF
  • Manage a caseload of clients, coordinating with the client, their clinic, and other abortion funds or practical support organizations (as needed) to make the financial commitments for care
  • Monitor referrals and and respond to requests for support or information as needed
  • Maintain data entry related to each contact, documenting client interactions, case notes, and expenditures
  • Monitor expenses and adhere to budgetary limits while providing clients with essential financial support to the best of the RTF’s ability
  • Support RTF events and outreach efforts as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The confidential warmline will operate Monday through Friday, 9:30 am - 4 pm ET. While the CSC may be located anywhere in the continental United States, they must be available to work daily during these hours.

Key Qualifications
  • Commitment to RFT’s mission, vision, and values
  • At least one year of experience providing abortion case management or two (2) years of general customer service or direct service work
  • Dedication to providing the best client service possible in a non-judgmental and client-centered approach
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, creative, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a small remote organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and soft skills that prioritize empathy, understanding, and obtaining information without judgment
  • Superior attention to detail and organization, managing multiple cases at once, and ensuring thoroughness in all aspects of work
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize work, solve problems, make decisions, and follow up
  • Accountable, open to giving and receiving feedback, and committed to practicing this regularly; dedicated to continued learning

  • Understanding and respectful of client confidentiality and privacy
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to work remotely, with the ability to attend in-person meetings and events as needed (travel costs provided)
  • Preference for applicants who are fluent in English and a second language.
  • Located within the continental United States and available to work Monday through Friday, 9:30 am - 4 pm ET.
