BECOMING OUR ENTRY-LEVEL HUMAN SERVICES YOUTH CARE WORKER

Schedule:

You have the flexibility to choose between full-time, part-time, or call-in schedules. We offer day, evening, and night shifts to accommodate your availability, ensuring a work-life balance that fits your needs.

Day-to-Day:

You start your day at Schippel House, greeted by the smiles of the youth you're here to support. As a Human Services Youth Care Worker, you're the cornerstone of their journey toward growth and independence. You teach and model healthy life skills, social skills, and coping mechanisms, guiding them through challenges with patience and compassion. Your day is filled with meaningful interactions, from facilitating educational activities to helping them navigate personal struggles. Using the CARE practice model and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) system, you ensure a safe and nurturing environment, always ready to handle any crisis with professionalism and care. Each day brings new opportunities to connect, inspire, and empower the youth in our care

Qualifications:

  • 21+ years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to learn the CARE practice model and TCI system as well as apply their principles
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Passion for being a youth mentor and role model

A bachelor's degree in human services or related experience is preferred but not required for this entry-level position
