PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONThis individual will be responsible for acquiring new business and implementing energy strategies.PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESAbility to identify, prospect and contact decision makers in respective businesses and to cultivate client relationshipsCultivate customer relationships with respective SMB companies.Ability to understand and translate market rules for all products/programs that are offered to customers.Develop energy plans and strategies for prospects, prepare presentations and close electricity and Natural gas sales transactions.Understand customers business objectives, price risk tolerances and work with internal resources to develop energy hedging strategies that match the customer's needs.Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and decision makers.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelors Degree or higher in Business (Marketing or Finance) or Engineering. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of experience is requiredAt least 5 years of marketing or sales related experienceExcellent organization and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as neededProficiency with MS Office Suite and experience using databasesAll candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.Track record of success meeting and/or exceeding annual sales quotas. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 5 year's experience in energy (electricity and/or natural gas) markets with an emphasis in sales or sales supportDirect sales experience successfully originating new businessAbility to develop, cultivate, maintain and leverage contact networks and business relationshipsAbility to Identify, engage and motivate decision makers to take actionFormalized sales training program via Sandler, Miller Heiman or equivalentExperience utilizing Salesforce CRM platform
