Your responsibilities include acting as a key link among production, development, tooling, supply chain, and quality teams. You will lead production on the assembly line, introduce new production, and provide crucial manufacturability insights to design teams for both new and existing hardware. Additionally, you will establish new processes, equipment, and assembly lines to support an aggressive build ramp, making data-driven decisions at every step.Day to day:3 Engineers will be the first line support for manufacturing team- working with techs for first line troubleshooting issues (look at hardware, interactions with ERP software (must have SAP/ERP familiarity). They will be responsible for making sure ERP systems are running smoothly and supporting production.•75% of the time on production floor- working directly with operations groups- supporting production, looking at defective materials, training operators, etc,•25% meeting loads + some analysis (with big trends coming out of 75%)2 engineers will be responsible for more traditional manufacturing roles and the development of the program, which includes writing new work instructions, new processes, redeveloping production sequencing, statistical analysis of data sets, update processes, doc updates, participate in communication with cross functional teams, drive and identify design improvement opportunities. •30-40% on the floor- deep dives in to equipment •60-70% strategic improvements, process documentation, cross functional discussionsTeam/ Product Information- These manufacturing engineers will be a part of the optical team- technical content is domain opto-mechanics. Candidates must have basic electrical experience - but this role is more focused on the mechanical side of the domain Must haves: 1. Experience with SAP ERP system (top level planning, purchase orders, inventory tracking, creates structures)- then hands over to SAP MES (home grown, custom coded). •SAP knowledge•SAP ERP / SAP MES2. Familiar with Lean manufacturing principles- lean six sigma or something similar.
