**Job Title:** -- Desktop & Applications Support Specialist

**Job Summary:** -- Provide Deskside support and assistance with user hardware and software in system setup, installs, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, system security, system and management reporting. Support all Corporate users (Norwalk/outside), machines and applications.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** --

* Upgrade / update Operating System for user machines and servers

* Assist and support users with their hardware and software errors and issues

* Proactively work with IT team on support for system maintenance and enhancements

* Work on projects as assigned which may involve interfaces across diverse hardware platforms

* Assist in performing system, integration and functional verification tests and troubleshoot as needed

* Assist with Operating System updates and other configuration changes

* Develop / document business process on systems & business logics

* Troubleshoot issues with existing or developing systems

* Research application problems and evaluate solutions

* Perform other duties or tasks as required

**Qualifications:** --

* Three to five years experience supporting users and systems ideally in a Corporate environment

* Degree in Computer Sciences

* Knowledge and experience in Operating Systems, SQL Server administration, Setup automated jobs, schedule maintenance tasks etc.

* Good knowledge of imaging software, basic networking and VMWare, MS office

* Knowledge of O365, Sharepoint, PowerApps, Azure

* Experience in programming / writing scripts in PowerShell, T-SQL, .Net

* Experience with Client/Server, Web applications, IIS and troubleshooting associated with it

* Ability to learn new technologies quickly

* Proactive with attention to detail
