Territory Manager

The Territory Manager is responsible for managing and growing customer accounts within an assigned region. They work to enhance customer satisfaction, address complaints, and ensure alignment with Kloeckner's strategic objectives. This role reports directly to the Commercial Director.
Job Responsibilities
- Account Management: Develop and sustain relationships with existing accounts and pursue new business opportunities. This involves organizing daily schedules, making sales calls, and obtaining orders
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, proposing solutions, and liaising with management as needed
- Collaboration: Work in conjunction with inside sales and production teams to ensure customer needs are met and issues are resolved efficiently
- Reporting: Keep management updated with regular reports on activities and results, including daily call logs, weekly plans, and territory performance analyses
- Professional Development: Maintain and enhance professional knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and engaging with professional networks
- Record Keeping: Keep detailed historical records of sales and customer interactions for reference and analysis
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned
- Performance Standards: Demonstrated results-driven approach with high performance standards for oneself and others
- Customer Focus: Strong focus on both external and internal customers
- Degrees: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or a related field, or an Associate's degree with equivalent relevant experience
- Experience: At least five years of experience in the metals (heavy carbon/hot rolled) related industry with a basic understanding of products, plus previous experience in sales, management, or account management
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems to enhance productivity and sales efficiency
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on listening, negotiation, and presentation
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and analyze customer needs effectively
- Customer Service: A customer-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
