About the job

Home Team is looking for a Procurement Specialist to support our design and construction teams. This role will support project managers and work hand in hand with interior designers in bringing resort-style vacation rental properties to market. This role will provide expertise in estimating, procurement, vendor management, spending and savings analyses, and delivering outstanding customer support. The Procurement Specialist will be working on many projects simultaneously and may occasionally travel to project sites.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, purchases, and shipment tracking.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and timeliness or fulfillment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the
  • procurement function.
  • Maintain vendor and procurement databases.
  • Collaborate with Finance to track and document all expenditures.
  • Keep detailed records of shipment tracking and delivery.
  • Work with the install team to ensure all shipments are received and installed
  • according to the design plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and background

  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in procurement or design services (education may be accepted in lieu of experience).
  • Knowledge of procurement practices and procedures.
  • Proven excellence with customer/stakeholder service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Experience with procurement software or ERP software preferred.

Skills

  • Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills with the ability to focus on varied projects simultaneously.
  • Resourceful and able to work independently with initiative and good judgment.
  • Able to identify problems, research alternatives, provide solutions and/or resolve issues promptly.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable
  • insights.
  • You are a self-starter who can independently meet deadlines in a fast-paced
  • environment.
  • You take accountability for the things you say youll do, under-promise and over-deliver.
  • Possess a team-first mentality with an upbeat and optimistic attitude.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours and/or extended hours as needed to accommodate client and project needs as well as team members and projects in multiple time zones.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically without restrictions up to 15% of the year.
  • Ability to stand, flex, crouch, and lift up to 25lbs on occasion.
