The specialist handles routine procurement tasks such as soliciting bids for equipment, vehicles, materials, and other necessary items, while adhering to District policies and all applicable state and federal laws regarding procurement. [Partial Job Description: [Accurately record and maintain all assets in the Districts asset inventory database. [Track inventory levels and manage asset provision to ensure departmental needs are met. [Perform routine procurement activities, including soliciting bids and acquiring equipment, vehicles, materials, tools, and other items. [Coordinate with Operations, Field and Maintenance departments to identify and fulfill the departments asset needs. [Perform routine procurement tasks under the guidance of Operations, Field and Maintenance supervisors and/or the Director of Engineering and Operations. [Perform formal procurement activities such Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs). [Understand and apply policies and legal requirements related to procurement and inventory management.
