Volt is currently seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team.

Position Type: Full-time contract

Duration: 12+ months

Working Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

As a Senior Procurement Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating procurement and supply chain strategies, solutions, and policies to meet client needs.
  • Creating and implementing strategic business objectives and goals.
  • Advising on proposal evaluations and crafting negotiation strategies.
  • Defining procurement requirements with clients and steering the supplier negotiation process.
  • Drafting and executing contractual documents.
  • Ensuring adherence to company protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Overseeing contract terminations.
  • Developing organizational and company enhancement plans.
  • Updating clients and leadership on program progress, risks, challenges, and required support.
  • Standardizing, developing, and documenting operational processes.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist within the Aerospace sector.
  • 6-10 years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and executing complex contracts for optimal value.
  • 6-10 years of experience in proposal creation and contract negotiations with Government Clients.
  • Experience managing both indirect and direct costs to enhance competitiveness.
  • Experience leading proposal development and contract terms and conditions.
  • 6 years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Specialist.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFAR requirements.
  • Experience with procurement systems such as Network Procurement (NWP) or SAP (4HANA).
  • Experience negotiating non-competitive government procurements exceeding the Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) threshold.
Compensation: $35.00 to $43.00 per hour.

*Compensation offered to a successful candidate will be determined based on various factors, including education, work experience, location, specific job responsibilities, certifications, etc.
