Senior Procurement Specialist

Location: Hybrid model with a preference for St. Louis or other specified locations.

Contract Duration: 6 to 12 months, with potential for extension.

Overview:

The selected candidate will be required to undergo a credit evaluation conducted by Security. Suppliers should consult the Supplier Guide for details regarding this requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulates procurement and supply chain strategies to meet client needs.
  • Implements and aligns with corporate strategic objectives.
  • Advises on proposal assessments and the formulation of negotiation tactics.
  • Clarifies procurement needs with clients and directs the supplier negotiation process.
  • Drafts and finalizes negotiated agreements.
  • Ensures adherence to corporate policies and regulatory standards.
  • Oversees contract terminations.
  • Creates plans for organizational and operational enhancements.

Essential Qualifications:

Required: Proven experience as a buyer or procurement specialist within the Aerospace sector.

A minimum of 3-5 years in drafting, negotiating, and executing complex contracts for optimal value.

3-5 years of experience in proposal creation and contract negotiations with U.S. Government clients.

Experience in managing both direct and indirect costs to enhance competitiveness.

Proven track record in leading proposals and developing contract terms and conditions.

Over 3 years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree or higher.

Prior experience in the Aerospace industry.

Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFAR requirements.

Experience with procurement systems such as Network Procurement (NWP) or SAP (4HANA).

Experience in negotiating non-competitive government procurements exceeding the Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) threshold.

Education and experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor's) and generally 3 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
