University of Colorado Finance Specialist (Entry Senior Level) ARTS in Denver, Colorado Job Title: Finance Specialist (Entry - Senior Level) - ARTS Position: #00825895 - Requisition: #34498 Job Summary: Assist in ensuring programs and projects, including grants and contracts are fiscally sound and adhere to Federal and University of Colorado Policies and Procedures. Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing fiscal reporting activities for ARTS including revenue, expense, and balance sheet transactions; monitoring of program and contract/grant budgets; and assists in fiscal and progress reporting to funding agencies, including performance-based and cost-rate analysis. Assist in the management of ARTS resources and activities within the University system including Fiscal & Budget management, Procurement of Goods and Services, and Grant & Contract administration. Maintain internal grant/contract submission and award tracking spreadsheets; evaluate available technology/apps/software to modernize tracking system and capabilities. Pre- and Post-Award Liaison between external funding sources and internal operations. General financial reporting and record keeping. Contract processing, tracking, and invoicing. Payment processing and tracking. Processing of Journal Entries (JEs) and Payroll Expense Transfers (PETs). Maintain monthly and Annual financial cost reporting requirements and accrual processes. Budgeting and post-award reporting in collaboration with internal business partners. Provide routine audits of financial transactions involving cash transactions, to include petty cash funds and client fee payments; and the reconciliation and collection of revenues for services provided. Participation in team meetings. Work Location: Hybrid Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. One (1) year of professional level experience in business, finance, and/or accounting administration. Preferred Qualifications: A master's degree in business administration, economics, financial management, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Experience working with university software applications including m-Fin, CU Marketplace, Concur, InfoEd, and OnCore; or pre-/post-award management in an academic setting. Experience in interpreting and applying policies from a variety of funding structures (federal, state, foundation, and institutional).
