About the Position

The Finance Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role within Caribou Services' Finance division, concentrating on establishing comprehensive financial objectives for the organization. This role will operate at the intersection of Finance, Strategy, and Operations, backed by a top-tier FP&A and Accounting team, alongside other business leaders.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will significantly influence the organization and offer substantial exposure to Caribou Services' senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

In this capacity, you will:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to enhance financial transparency and apply robust financial principles to assist in establishing business priorities.
  • Develop and structure financial models to support innovative product initiatives and scale existing offerings.
  • Engage in strategic thinking and utilize insights from models to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Ensure effective capital allocation across operational units and maintain sound capital management practices.
  • Work closely with the Accounting team to align with actual financial performance and identify emerging trends.
  • Assist in performing ad-hoc analyses and preparing regular reporting materials for cross-functional teams and management presentations.
  • Support various investor relations, capital investment planning, and Board reporting activities.
  • Assess the full spectrum of financial implications across Caribou Services' profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Continuously enhance, innovate, and elevate analysis and reporting for key stakeholders.

This position can be based out of Caribou Services' office or may be performed remotely from locations where the company operates, with a preference for specific metropolitan areas.

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance within a dynamic technology environment, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or corporate strategy.

An MBA or CFA (either completed or in progress) is advantageous. A solid understanding of financial statements and financial theory is essential. Proficiency in Excel and a data-driven approach to complex financial challenges, with meticulous attention to detail, are required.

We seek critical thinkers who can articulate insights around financial data and make sound, data-supported recommendations.

Experience with data visualization and financial reporting tools such as Looker, Datarails, NetSuite, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite products is preferred. A strong sense of ownership regarding work quality and a history of managing independent projects are essential.
