On average, Plains handles more than 6 million barrels per day of crude oil and NGL in its Transportation segment. The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.We are looking for highly-motivated individuals who enjoy working as part of a team in a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment.The Pipeline Business Development Analyst will provide critical business support to the Permian Basin Pipeline Business Development Team. This position will report to the Director of Pipeline Business Development and have visibility to senior management across the PAA organization. The goal of this analyst position would be for the candidate to ultimately train to become a Business Development Representative within 2-3 years. Analyst duties include, but are not limited to:
Detailed understanding of pipelines, connections and commercial agreements
Model new business development projects using a Discounted Cash Flow Model to determine economic viability
Present new business development opportunities in Power Point to upper management
Attend industry functions and develop customer relationships to foster new business development opportunities
Provide mapping support for Commercial Business Development Representatives
Prepare weekly business development updates and present to management
Provide supporting materials and analysis for all internal management presentations including Business Segment Reviews, Board Meetings, and Senior Management Meetings
Maintain acreage dedication and term tracking spreadsheet
Identify areas for improvements in the business development process
Understanding Pipeline flow and crude quality (operational)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree, BBA preferred
Experience in business analysis with minimum 1-2 years’ work experience in pipeline industry preferred
Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and possess excellent organizational skills
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
