IPHI is currently recruiting for the newly created position of Development and Grants Manager (DGM). IPHI seeks a professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to equity to ensure the preparation of high-quality proposals and grant applications and the performance of responsible professional and administrative work in researching, identifying, developing, and responding to public and private grant opportunities in areas that support IPHI’s mission and programs. The position is also responsible for supporting program staff in timely and accurate reporting to funders on the performance of program activities and assuring compliance with funder guidelines. Primary Responsibilities

Grant Prospecting (30%) Meet regularly with senior leadership, staff, and partners to discuss current and new funding agendas and needs. Convene internal and external teams to analyze and respond to funding opportunities. Host check-in meetings with program directors and managers to help identify funding needs, grant opportunities, and grant implementation requirements. Research and identify new government, corporate, foundation, and private funding prospects to match IPHI’s priorities. Plan, coordinate and facilitate meetings between current and potential funders and program directors and managers. Generate and maintain annual calendar/schedules of grant opportunities to track deadlines, responsibilities, progress, anticipated revenue, and outcomes for private and corporate foundations and local, state, and federal government. Collaborate with communications and program teams to develop prospecting materials. Grant Writing (50%) Research, develop, write, and submit letters of inquiry, concept papers, and grant proposals. Generate high-quality proposals, narratives, applications, and supporting documents in response to solicitations consistent with all policies and procedures of IPHI and the requirements and guidelines of the funding agencies. Develop proposal budgets to align with the proposed scopes of work. Coordinate proposal development by preparing checklists, assigning roles, and meeting deadlines for each grant. Generate revenues for IPHI programs through timely submission of well-researched, well-written, and well-documented grant proposals. Coordinate and follow up on the progress of submitted proposals. Assure the timely submission of high-quality proposals that align with funder guidelines. Compliance and Knowledge Management (20%) Become cognizant of state/federal regulations, terms and conditions, and other compliance requirements for all grants, including requirements within funding announcements, federal grants policy, Code of Federal Regulations, and other communications, and coordinate with program staff on matters of compliance. Maintain and update IPHI’s grants processes and procedures in cooperation with the senior leadership team. Produce and implement templates, boilerplate language and other tools to facilitate efficient response to funding opportunities. Work with appropriate teams to ensure proper document collection and storage. Provide support for the annual budget process in relationship to grant prospects. Maintain Salesforce CRM and project management systems to track business relationships, grants, and proposals opportunities. Work with finance and operations to ensure grant compliance policies and procedures are updated and implemented consistently. Prepare reports for the CEO and Board of Directors. Train staff on fundraising, grant writing, and compliance. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of successful, non-profit experience in which grants were written and secured. Proven experience creating and managing the grants and proposal strategies for a mission-driven organization. Knowledge of public health and health equity and demonstrated ability to integrate these concepts into grant proposals and other fundraising strategies. Knowledge and experience operationalizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism in grants proposals preferred. Track record of success in grant writing and proposal development. Experience with CRMs and project management systems. Experience coordinating grant-writing teams and partnerships. Experience with government, corporate and foundation grants, and contracts. Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills. Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and to track multiple projects/programs. Ability to research and quickly adapt relevant, emerging, and existing evidence-based practices and models for use in project design and proposals. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse partners and stakeholders. Compensation This is an exempt position with competitive benefits and an anticipated starting full-time salary of $75,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience. Position is contingent upon available funding. Location Job location is flexible within the region, though regional and national travel may be required.
