OVERVIEW

Manage the credit area of Sheetz Accounting. Ensure accurate recording of all credit-related activity including credit, debit, EBT, fleet, z-cards, delivery, etc. Monitor chargeback activity and fraud to minimize both. Identify, plan, and execute credit projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

1. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities.
2. Align the objectives of the credit area with the strategic goals of the department and Sheetz, Inc.
3. Collaborate and build strong business relationships highlighted by excellent communication with various areas of the company (e.g., Consumer Digital, Electronic Payment Systems, Brand Marketing, IT, Workforce Training, Operations, etc.). Assist in the preparation of training materials and ensure that store training is conducted so as to achieve the efficient execution of store credit procedures (e.g. OTR POS system fleet procedures, cryptocurrency acceptance procedures, etc.).
4. Provide leadership and expertise to the credit area. Work with staff to ensure proper and timely collection of receivable balances. Oversee the identification, researching and resolution of differences.
5. Monitor workflow and assign workloads to ensure department deadlines are met. Oversee monthly closing process and ensure journal entries and account reconciliations are accurate, timely and completed within deadlines. Establish sound processes and review processes regularly to identify improvement opportunities.
6. Attend credit industry conferences to stay abreast of industry trends. Establish and maintain relationships with industry peers.
7. Analyze credit fees. Monitor chargeback activity. Use current and emerging software tools to streamline processes. Stay abreast of fraud prevention best practices. Provide timely credit reporting to Senior Accounting Management and the Brand Marketing department.

QUALIFICATIONS

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education
•Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business related field required

Experience
•Minimum 5 years of public or corporate accounting experience with treasury functions required; additional experience in banking or credit processing is preferred.
•Previous supervisory experience preferred.
