The Commercial Lines Account Manager plays a vital role in our organization, overseeing a varied portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This position serves as the main point of contact for clients, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships by understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse book of commercial lines accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Address client inquiries regarding policies and coverage in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct thorough policy reviews, recommend appropriate coverages, and prepare proposals for renewals and additional lines of coverage.
- Collaborate closely with producers to market new business and negotiate renewals, ensuring the best coverage-to-cost ratios.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier representatives and underwriters.
- Utilize agency management software and carrier online rating portals effectively.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of client and policy information within the agency management system.
- Stay updated on industry changes and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
- 5-7 years of experience in commercial lines account management or a related role within the insurance sector.
- Property and Casualty license is mandatory.
- Preferred designations include Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
- Proficient in agency management software, preferably Applied (TAM or EPIC) or AMS360.
- Strong understanding of various types of commercial insurance policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, team members, and carriers.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software for creating professional reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
