****The Role****

This role will be providing a full spectrum of IT support to the a16z team. We are looking for someone with a passion for technology and top notch, white glove customer service. You are an enthusiastic self-starter with strong-problem solving skills. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work in an often-ambiguous environment. You should also understand and learn blockchain, DeFi and other crypto related technologies.

The ideal person for this role must be comfortable and proficient supporting Executive level users in high stress situations, along with the general population of end users. Troubleshooting, diagnosing problems and resolution of support issues are key responsibilities in this role.

A large portion of the IT Support Specialist's job will revolve around supporting IT needs for various teams. It will be your responsibility to complete the tickets or work with the current IT team to find solutions. Organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for this role.

* Build and cultivate long-term relationships.

* Triage, troubleshoot and resolve IT requests across the whole organization.

* Provide white-glove support for all IT requests.

* Manage on/off-boarding process of firm employees.

* Configure, maintain, troubleshoot & repair all office computers, equipment & peripherals (with an emphasis on Apple products).

* Document existing and ongoing changes to all the systems and infrastructure.

* Update and publish documentation and knowledge base articles.

* Support audio/video system in all conference rooms.

* Monitor networks and systems for security vulnerabilities, malicious/suspicious behavior, availability and performance.

* Implement security best practices across all systems and make recommendations for constant improvement to the firm's cybersecurity posture.

****Minimum Qualifications****

* Bachelor degree with 3+ years experience in IT Helpdesk.

* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Ability to work with all levels within the organization.

* Strong MacOS and Windows administration, Linux/Unix is a plus.

* Strong mobile device administration: iOS and Android.

* Strong Audio/Video system understanding.

* Experience with basic networking concepts and protocols (DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, etc).

* Experience with SaaS administration: Okta, JAMF, G Suite.

* SaaS, Server administration and Cybersecurity strongly preferred.

* Must be willing to learn and keep up with current blockchain technologies and cryptography methods.
