Revenue Accounting Manager

The Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements schedules and reports that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of the Corporate Controller. This role requires a strong knowledge of accounting principles, including experience completing journal entries, maintaining ledgers, reconciling, and verifying accounts, and monitoring revenue accounts. Additionally, this role involves interpreting and analyzing accounting data and financial reports and recommending action.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the monthly accounting close process.
- Track and review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and account balances are accurately stated in accordance with GAAP and Company policy. Research/resolve any issues identified.
- Reconcile general ledger and sub ledger accounts to source data and systems to ensure all transactions have been accurately recorded. Research/resolve any issues identified.
- Ensure all accounting entries and authorizations are in compliance with Company Accounting Policy and GAAP and ensure accuracy of accounting transactions.
- Implement process changes and best practices for general ledger reporting.
- Manage assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional team members in delivering high quality, decision-ready information to our business partners wherever needed.
- Preparation of work papers and journal entries in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide a detailed analysis of the consolidated income statement, segment, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in preparing the Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Reports.
- Coordinate schedules to support external audit requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or private industry.
- Proven experience as accounting manager or other similar position.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, corporate accounting policies and procedures, and SOX.
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and self-motivated.
- Big Four Manager experience is preferred.
- Power BI experience is required.
- Ability to run basic SQL queries.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.
- Extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's, technical skills in Microsoft SharePoint, Word, and Adobe Professional.
- Paperless environment experience is a plus.
- Ability to use Enterprise-wide information system such as Workday, Workday GL experience is a plus
- Confidence, energy, and personality to work in a dynamic environment across all levels of management and across business units.
- High degree of dedication to improvement and strong sense of ownership and ability to work a flexible schedule during peak periods.
- Remote with ability to comfortably commute to one of our corporate offices in Dallas, TX, Greenville, SC or Franklin, NC.
