A client of ours has a need for a vendor coordinator for their Freeport, NY office. This is a right to hire opportunity that is onsite.

The Vendor Coordination is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate management of vendor interactions and documentation. This role involves reviewing and processing uploaded document images from vendors, following up on requests for bids and open service items, entering notes into the internal system, backing up the call center, and handling incoming calls to close out open service tickets.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process uploaded document images from vendors to their profiles.
  • Call vendors to follow up on previously placed requests for bids.
  • Follow up with vendors on open service items and required documentation.
  • Enter detailed notes into the companys operating system and clients external programs.
  • Back up the call center by handling incoming service requests and dispatching vendors.
  • Handle incoming calls from vendors to close out open service tickets.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree a plus.
  • Experience in a customer service or administrative role.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using any CRM software and basic Microsoft programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling high call volumes.
  • Availability for our evening/weekend rotation.
