Position Overview

The role of a Warehouse Worker II involves various responsibilities focused on enhancing resource recovery and ensuring efficient operations within the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource Recovery Promotion: Engage in continuous training initiatives for personnel to enhance awareness of recycling practices.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the tracking of items returned for reuse, including furniture and equipment.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage inventory of equipment, prepare documentation, and assist vendors during loading operations.
  • Employee Transactions: Facilitate the loading of materials for employee sales and ensure proper documentation is completed.
  • Inventory Assessment: Evaluate incoming inventory for potential recycling or disposal, ensuring proper organization.
  • Disposition Management: Handle requisitions for scrap materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Commercial Metals Oversight: Schedule and maintain roll-off containers for scrap metal, coordinating with suppliers for pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintenance Tracking: Monitor and service hoppers and drums, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Environmental Compliance: Manage the recovery of various materials, including batteries and light bulbs, ensuring adherence to environmental standards.
  • KPI Reporting: Maintain records and report on key performance indicators related to inventory and recovery processes.
  • Inspection Duties: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of equipment and safety measures.
  • End-of-Week Maintenance: Perform cleaning and organization tasks to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Required Skills
  • Proficient in forklift operation.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
Training Requirements
  • Understanding of resource recovery standards and protocols.
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste management regulations.
  • Familiarity with equipment servicing and tracking processes.
  • Ability to perform regular inspections and evaluations of equipment.
