Responsibilities

* Performs research of account activity to determine the accuracy of the accounts receivable balance of a customer * Responsible for the maintenance of customer accounts through collection activity and account research * Performs credit reference research to establish credit limits through Experian Credit reporting agencies, online search sites, and calling references listen on the credit application * Identifies outstanding customer accounts that need attention and contacts the appropriate sales representatives and customers * Obtains appropriate documentation for personal guarantees made by sales representatives for accounts which go into credit hold * Reviews credit exceptions reports and notifies sales representatives of orders being held to decide on whether a release is appropriate * Continuously monitors customer credit limits and payment terms, ensuring compliance with credit policy, procedures, and internal controls * Obtains appropriate documentation for personal guarantees made by sales representatives for accounts which go into credit hold * Prepares and submits credit refund requests to the Credit Manager for refunds for approval for payment * Processes and provides accounts receivable statements upon requests by customer * Performs other duties as assigned by the Credit & Collections Manager or Assistant Controller

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or 2-3 years of experience in business-to-business credit and collections/ credit risk management * The ability to perform extensive work over the phone * Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Microsoft Teams, AX/Dynamics) * Knowledge of dispute management process and procedures for business-to-business collections * Experience with handling high call volume * The ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information * Strong credit reporting tools experience using Duns & Bradstreet and Experian (Minimum 1 year)

Additional Information

This is a Monday- Friday role with hours between 8:00am-6pm. (40 hours per week)

This role will be hybrid after initial training. Our hybrid schedule is typically 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
