Regional Credit Specialist Job Description

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Regional Credit Specialist to join our team. As a Regional Credit Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and controlling a dedicated portfolio of credit customers, performing daily collection activities, and ensuring customer accounts are clean and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and control a dedicated portfolio of credit customers
  • Perform daily collection activities to ensure customer settle outstanding balances within agreed payment terms
  • Unapplied cash and credit note allocation, secure clean customer accounts
  • Assist Cash Application to identify payments
  • Maintain customer credit information
  • Review orders on credit hold on a daily basis
  • Credit analysis for both new and existing customers
  • Control of legal files, including contact with collecting agencies and lawyers for own portfolio
  • Supply account statements to customers
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Service teams
  • Additional accounting duties and journal entries as assigned
Requirements:
  • Middle or bachelor's degree with credit control experience (1-3 years)
  • Experience in credit and collections methods
  • Team player, proactive, and open attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible and focused on improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with sophisticated accounting systems and ability to learn new systems and processes - ERP experience required (SAP experienced preferred)
