This position will drive the development and day-to-day execution of the Human Resource team while setting enterprise-wide HR strategies for the Company. Responsibilities: Direct all functional areas of Human Resources, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, personnel records, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, benefits administration and organizational development. Responsible for fostering and maintaining a highly engaging culture, motivating employees, and cultivating an inclusive environment that features superior communication, teamwork, and accountability Responsible for continuous improvement and innovation as it relates to processes, addressing performance, creating action plans, and ensuring proper training and development of staff. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, staying informed of HR trends, best practices, and regulatory updates. Act as a resource for employees regarding HR issues, facilitating fair resolution of conflicts and grievances. Oversee employee benefits, and work with company's outside insurance broker Investigate notices received from any Federal and/or State agencies regarding payroll taxes issues or tax filing penalties Provide Mentorship and Training to HR Assistants Direct the talent acquisition process, overseeing recruitment, hiring, and collaboration with departmental managers to align skills with job requirements. Implement effective onboarding programs for new hires to ensure seamless integration into the organization. Act as a resource for employees regarding HR issues, facilitating fair resolution of conflicts and grievances. Manage employee leaves of absence, unemployment claims, and worker compensation cases. Develop and oversee performance evaluation processes and guide managers on employee reviews, disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations. Ensure accurate processing of wage changes, including employment agreements, promotions, transfers, and terminations, while complying with policies and regulations. Develop and update policies and procedures, and maintain the Employee Handbook. Oversee the confidentiality and integrity of employee records and information systems Collaborate with legal consultants and executive leadership on employment-related legal matters. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ HR experience; PHR/SPHR and/or Master’s Degree a plus Exceptional people skills, including active listening, empathy, conflict resolution and persuasion Demonstrated knowledge of human resource disciplines, including employee relations, benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, performance management, coaching, and development (Generalist) Ability to analyze, plan and execute corporate initiatives Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to present ideas and recommendations effectively.
