JOB SUMMARY:

As Sales Director for Wal-Mart and Sam’s, you are accountable for sales growth and product distribution within our Wal-Mart and Sam’s business. You are a critical driver of the management of all selling and executional activities to achieve customer revenue and profit targets within your territory. This role demands a motivated individual with a proven track record in driving sales growth across retail and food service sectors. Our ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership qualities, possess in-depth industry knowledge, multitasking leader, and demonstrate a history of exceeding sales targets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and foster revenue growth.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within both retail and food service domains.

Cultivate and manage relationships with key accounts, including retailers, distributors, and food service providers.

Lead and inspire a team of sales professionals to meet individual and collective sales targets.

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for growth and enhancement.

Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure cohesive alignment of sales strategies with overarching business objectives.

Provide regular updates on sales performance metrics to senior management.

Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging market trends to inform strategic decision-making.

Offer guidance, training, and support to sales team members to optimize their performance.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements to promote our diverse range of products and services.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

5+ Years of Walmart & Sams Club Experience.

10+ Years of sales, marketing, and/or business development experience.

Good understanding of food industry supply chain and distribution.

Experience developing relationships and sales with large customers and distributors.

Dry Grocery, Hot Cereal or Cold Cereal experience preferred.

RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Willing to travel when needed.

Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

Must be a team player and able to work autonomously.

Highly self-motivated

Strong understanding of Retail Link data is an asset.

Strong persuasive writing and oral communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Proven track record of sales success

Ability to grow sales in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.

Comprehensive understanding of retail and food service sales channels, including distribution networks and customer dynamics.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting sales data, forecasting trends, and making data-driven decisions.

Results-oriented mindset with a focus on surpassing sales targets and KPIs.

Knowledge of food industry regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.

Willingness to travel as required for customer meetings, industry events, and facility visits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $160,000.00 per year
