About the role

The Human Resources Specialist (Recruiting) will play a vital role in attracting talent to CHC and providing HR Operations support. The person most successful in this role will have meticulous attention to detail, a passion for finding talent, and a keen ability to problem solve and enhance communication. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Specialist (Recruiting) will perform projects to support the Human Resources Department.

As a HR Specialist (Recruiting), you will:

  • Fulfill full cycle recruiting activities consistently across CHC:
    • Screening: Identify effective applicant screening questions.
    • Sourcing: Find creative avenues and proven methods to attract talent that align with CHCs mission and values.
    • Preparing: Provide updates, pipeline, and relevant recruitment data needed to collaborate effectively with hiring managers and progress the search.
    • Selecting: Debrief with hiring teams and draw information needed to confidently assess candidates.
    • Hiring: Make offers to the candidates and shares timely information with HR Coordinator to begin the onboarding process. Ensure all offers secure the necessary approvals.
    • Onboarding: Promote CHCs offerings and helps integrate new employees into CHC.
  • Partner and advise hiring teams.
    • Proactively manages relationships and seeks feedback from stakeholders.
    • Anticipate needs and effectively communicates CHCs Recruitment Workflow process.
    • Customize Interview Evaluation forms.
    • Recommend interview questions based on ideal candidate qualities.
    • Revise job posting as needed to improve candidate results.
    • Provide information in a timely manner.
  • Partner with external vendors (Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Jobvite, etc.) and track recruitment expenses and invoicing.
  • Fulfill day to day recruiting operations, such as, but not limited to:
    • Manage CHCs recruiting inbox and demonstrate responsiveness to stakeholders.
    • Refer more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
    • Provide admin support for Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
    • Ensure data integrity of applicant tracking systems (ATS).
    • Support ATS implementations.
    • Utilize and collect data to anticipate turnover and recruitment needs.
    • Answer inquiries (i.e. troubleshooting, user permission access, reporting, etc.).
  • Support broader HR Operations activities in efforts to retain talent and enhance the Employee Experience.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all HR personnel matters
    • Provide backup support to HR team members as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About your background (Education/Experience):

  • Associates degree in Human Resources (or similar); or equivalent work experience in the field with a High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous HR/Recruiting Coordinator experience or similar supporting all phases of the Employee Lifecycle.
  • Proven experience handling complex personnel matters.
  • Proven experience implementing applicant tracking systems.
  • Full cycle recruiting experience in the Education and/or Healthcare industry.
  • Preferred:
    • In pursuit of or has obtained professional certification in recruiting.
    • 2-4 years of Employee Relation and/or Employee Benefits administration experience.
Working Conditions:

  • Exempt full-time hybrid position primarily located at our Palo Alto site.
  • Requires occasional travel to other CHC Bay Area locations.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
  • Flexibility required in work schedule, travel time, occasional weekend job fairs, etc.

Compensation:

Range: $85,000 to $105,000.

Pay Type: Salary.

  • The starting base salary for this position is as shown above. The actual base salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
