ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Costa Mesa, CA

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting the organizations financial strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain and implement internal control procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights for financial planning.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits, ensuring timely and accurate provision of information.
  • Maintain accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Analyze financial data and present insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
