JOB OVERVIEW

The Sales Manager for Southern California will be instrumental in building our presence within premium men’s apparel markets, both regionally and across the country. This role is focused on driving sales growth by targeting and securing key accounts, with a primary emphasis on luxury resorts, exclusive clubs and high-end retail. The Sales Manager will work to establish us as a leading brand in the premium lifestyle apparel market, leveraging a deep understanding of the men’s premium market landscape.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop Sales Strategy: Create and execute a sales strategy aimed at securing placements in high-end resorts, men’s specialty stores, exclusive country clubs and other premium channels both in Southern California and nationwide.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on opportunities within the luxury resort, premium club and high-end retail, establishing us as a preferred brand in these markets.
  • Build High-End Account Relationships: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with decision-makers at top-tier resorts and premium retail accounts, ensuring strong partnerships and brand loyalty.
  • Key Account Management: Manage and grow key accounts across the country, ensuring that our products are well-represented and that sales targets are consistently met.
  • Sales Forecasting: Provide fact-based sales forecasts and account analysis, specifically focusing on replenishment and custom programs.
  • Business Planning: bottoms up account planning. Both seasonally and annually.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure consumer feedback is concisely relayed.
  • Foundation Building: Lay the groundwork for long-term success in the high-end market by setting up systems, processes, custom programs and relationships that will support sustained growth in this sector.
  • Travel: Regular travel within Southern California and to key account locations across the country is expected for this role.


TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Market Expertise: Deep understanding of the high-end retail and resort markets, with a proven track record in selling premium lifestyle products.
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and implement a sales strategy that targets and wins high-end accounts.
  • Relationship Building: Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the luxury and resort sectors.
  • Key Account Management: Experience in managing and growing key accounts on a national level.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing sales data specific to trends, competitive positioning, and customer preferences.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills tailored to high-end clientele.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in order entry systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales management tools.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales management, with significant experience in Resort, Golf or high-end markets.
  • Proven success in building and managing sales pipelines in the resort and premium retail sectors.
